Class assignment self portrait: 1

The assignment was to do a 30 minute speed painting self portrait using a limited color palette selected from fruits we did gouache-color samples from with varying tints.

My fruits were Eggplant, Kiwi, Tomato and Lemon

I wear gloves every day, usually to help my hands from getting quite so filthy with charcoal and ink... it doesn't show up on black gloves.

I really, especially love the colours for this one. It's less disturbing than the others, too, but probably more sad.

My hair looks like yours! ^_^

There's a great mood to this peace. Broody or plotting or thoughful.

Or maybe she's just cold? :D

I TOTALLY love how if you get up close and tilt the computer screen a little bit, just so, you can actually see her/your eyes are open inside the shadow.

Very J/horror if you don't mind me saying so. It's really really cool.
